Italy - a great place to hang out... with Leighroy, Julia, Arisha & Maya... (picture on the left - on the rocks at Marina di Massa)
a fraction of the family - yes and i mean a fraction.... there's plenty more that didn't have time to come away with me - but hey my place is minuscule in comparison to
the amount of kids and grandkids i have - i would need a 10 bedroom villa, at least 6 bathrooms + 2 kitchens, a massive room to relax in when the day is done and then it would be nice to have a live in housekeeper to clean up after them!!!! (one can but dream)
"so for now I will enjoy what I have created 'elegance and luxury!!!!!!' (my opinion) with 2 acres of land, olive trees and a vine yard - i'm very lucky to own something so dear to my heart ; a 2 bedroom villa is plenty big enough for me to cope with and maybe in the future????? I can dream of the rest - mind you the families who visit all do there fair share of chores even though it may be their holiday - so all in all we had a lovely time away; glorious sunshine (dawn till dusk) beachin' it everyday with packed lunches and lots of fruit - cherry's at the moment are in season and you could buy bucket loads
(like we did) they were divine... followed by a really nice home cooked meal made by Leighroy or me : in fact we did take it in turns to cook! - then soaked up by a good bottle of VINO ROSSO - a good nights sleep to wake up the next morning with breakfast on the terrace - very nice indeeeedy....
Ok ok ok - thats it for today I'm just wafflin' on - making simple food tonight of Grilled Salmon with fresh salad; oh and by the way, I've just made some chocolate eclairs OMG! they are so easy to make and so delicious - if you go on our blog: www.hairyplugmonster.blogspot.com you will find a simple recipe on there (posted last month or maybe earlier) and in the picture above is the author of 'the Hairy Plug Monster' Leighroy Marsh with his family of females (even his dog is a female!))
it's now nearly 4ish (1600hrs) so all you people out there - have a jolly good evening, the sun is still shining and we may even eat outside in the garden!!!

when in Italy I always end up here...
http://www.paradisoalmare.com/ Posted by Kul Cuthbert
il Paradiso dei Mare - Forte dei Marmi ...a great restaurant on the beach
if you click on the title it takes you to their website (derrrr! got that wrong) giving you information on the beach restaurant il Paradiso al Mare - Forti dei Marmi :-
I go there whenever I'm over in Italy - beach stretches over 8 miles with golden sands and is very clean... one could almost be spoiled!
if you decide to go :-
from Florence it's roughly 45 mins maybe an hour depending where your staying
directions : make your way north towards Genoa on the A12 and get off at Versilla ( 3 junctions up ? )take the slip road right to Forte dei Marmi - at the roundabout take the left turn and continue on this small road about 1/2 amile and your on the beach front
turn left - drive about 500mrts and park up on the right (about 8euros per day) the sign will be there Il Paradiso al Mare painted turquoise -
there's no access to the beach unless you go through the restaurant (most of these restaurants have there own bit of beach front)
and you can book a full day on the beach with a Gazebo which is your own space 3mtrs x 3mrts they supply all the towels
beds, chairs and a table also a box for your bits...
very elegant - have can order lunch in the outside area or at your Gazebo - lunch is mainly fish but if you can spend
all day you will see the sun set over the sea and the back drop of the marble mountains become a fab hues of mauve/purple
the service is great and they are very friendly most speak english but they are of German decent -
anyway if you get time it's not to be missed - then close by is the main shopping area
with the best Italian designers - both Armani and Prada have holiday places in this area...it's very Glam.
it does get busy in the summer months...
If you go have a great time 'cos i'm sure you will...
they have market day on a Wednesday and gets extremely busy - then parking can become a nightmare unless you arrive early...
cheers for now and enjoy your time in ITALIA!!!

mornin'
Oh what a beautiful mornin' - you almost want to burst in song!!!
don't you just love great starts to the day...
anyway not a lot has happended to me really, except the highlight of my week and possibly for the rest of the year was the delivery of my iphone GS3 so tacktile - I must stroke it every few minutes it's just flippin gorgeous.
The other thing i must say - I marvel at the possibility of having false eyelashes? I went to see a friend the other day she had medium size lashes OMG! they dont look false either; and what a difference I couldn't stop looking at them (bet she thought I comin'on to her) but they were fantastico - pretty expensive although if your going somewhere special worth every penny - and apperently the next day you still look a babe (so she said) her man was all over her like a rash! OOOO lala - that could be one to consider!!!
well I'm off now to take more piccs of the MOTOR HOME I'm designing so when I get back I'll post some more updates... modern technology what can one say...

Tuscan Dreams
Had a lovely weekend - went to Chester (roughly hour away) and walked along the riverside with some of my family... thinking the weather wasn't going to be good we decided to go for the afternoon instead of a full day - and surprising enough it cheered up - plus if you go to early you get sidetracked and start the shopping senario and then it becomes expensive! because you always spend more than you need - so a brisk walk along the river in the park and onto a fab Italian Restruant which we go to whenever we visit Chester... so all in all it was a very pleasent day and home by 9.30
then Sunday was spent at home doing chores - I know I know I know it sounds boring but now and again jobs have to be done; So today I've finished a DVD that I have been creating to a client of mine - very pleased with the results...
then shredding files for Ed (my man)
David (one of my sons) returned home with my car which he borrowed for the weekend
and yu'know what - Bank Holdays wiz by and never seem long enough; so tomorrow it's back to the grind stone earning the pennies for my next break which is next Monday - Northern Tuscany - where the Mountains meet the Sea....
