This book is a rollicking good adventure that will grip teenagers and adults alike. The story is accompanied with such vivid description that the reader can almost view the action as it unfolds. Anyone familiar with the area around Bath will have an additional element of interest although this is not important in enjoying the intriguing and exciting yarn.

- This is an amazing book and not just for children, in the 


same way that Phillip Pullman or  Tolkien crosses these boundaries. 


It is one of the most imaginative novels I have ever read 


encompassing multiple layers of reality and fantasy within a 


modern idiom. Carol Leith is definitely one to watch, I can't wait for the next book!
