Had a very busy week - there was only a few days to carry on with the Masterbed makeover!!
but I have managed to get what need doing and we're nearly there, tilers been -mmmm a bit on the slow side but doing a nice job, Jason the plumbers been and fitted the new Bisque (seta) radiator but unfortunately HE can't carry on with the en-suite as the tiler hasn't finished the area for Jason it does seem tobe taking a long time mind you if I hadn't booked away days so close together the project would be a lot closer to finishing (oh well - no good getting stressed) David (the main contractor) <http://davidmarshfurniture.co.uk> has built the wardrobes in the dressing area, also a couple in the main bedroom and they look very nice indeed, although only from IKEA they fit floor to ceiling and not bad at all. So that was the week on the makeover.
As for Tony's Motor home that is looking FAB... it's being professional photographed on Wednesday morning then Tony will take delivery on Thursday he's so excited... another project for him under discussion is the interior for his new Holiday Home in north Wales, that will be a nice job to do...
Went to Finleys Birthday party (he was 4 on Saturday) the party was on Sunday and started at 11am and held at Hayfield Cricket club set in the peak district, beautiful place, beautiful area on the edge of Buxton went on for hours although it was all good fun for the kids running around the field and Ollie (finleys Dad) organised a Bouncy Castle that the kids loved, lots of party bits to eat made by Becky's (Finley's Mum, Grandma and Great Granny) - and guess what David Musrie (a friend of Ollie's) came dressed up as Spider Man! he was so funny (he could hire himself out he was that good) what a delight for the kids they had a ball...
I made a Lamb & Coconut curry and a Chicken curry for the Mums and Dads that stayed at the party (that went down well) everything was gobbled up then off to Ollie's & Beck's for yet some more cake and tea, I was completed waisted when I got home at 8.30pm but had a great time; what you call a
'FULL ON DAY!'
Now getting packed again to go to Italy!!! this time with David, Laura, Oskar & Elliot - Oskar is really excited, Elliot only 4 months old won't know what's going on, David and Oskar will be in the sea most of the time, and me and Laura will be sitting on the beach chillin' and watching the world go by - were taking packed lunches and a flask most days, and relaxing back at the villa in the evening on the Veranda with home cooked food and glasses of good Vino Rosso and Presecco 'ITALY' a great place to visit: but before I go I have made a roast Ham for Ed to nibble on, Sausage Casserole, and a batch of Lasagne that will keep him going and very happy until I return next week.
NOT FORGETTING - good week so far with sales for the Hairy Plug Monster yippppeeee... check out our blogspot, news, updates and purchase page <http://www.hairyplugmonster.com> and guess what Leighroys doing a coffee morning chat with other like minded people on BBC Radio Manchester at 9.30am (this morning) woo hoo one to listen tooooooooo!!!!!
anyway, I've now done with wafflin' on :-))))
have a great day/week/month or what ever you are doing 'ENJOY' and don't forget any thing is possible...

BACK FROM MY HOLS...
so yes, I'm back in Tuscany next week with yet other family members...
Meanwhile I'm trying very hard to carry on with the refurbishment of the masterbed and bathroom although we've lost two days this week (returned from Italy early evening yesterday) and there's only two days left plus next Monday - everyone is gunna have to pull their fingers out! a few things have been delivered; oh by the way, the supplier of the bathroom furniture got the loo's wrong? but hey, no probs as they have been replaced this morning and will be fitted on Friday by Jason (the plumber) Phil the tiler has been in to do his bit and then all the bathroom fittings can then be fitted. YIPPPEEE... not long now... Howard the electrician has marked out for the lights in the masterbed, downstairs utility and loo area I'm extremely pleased with the look...
i have to say, it can be a bit traumatic waiting around for contractors!!!!! co-ordination is the key to any project... anyway I'll post some pics tomorrow that's if I get time to take and upload them
I have to inspect Tony's Motorhome which should by now, nearing completion... phew, and that would be 'another job well done... ' by kul cuthbert interiors < http://www.kulcuthbertinteriors.co.uk/ >
have a great evening where ever you are and don't forget to read our hairy plug monster blog updates for all news and information and wooooooo heres the link:-

MASTERBED UPDATE 13th July 2010
Mornin' well yes we're getting there, been a bit slow as David's been busy elsewhere, although not his fault, we're off the Italy later today for a week and don't really like anyone doing work when I'm not around; (I know i've not been back long! well actually nearly 4 weeks) but this time meeting up with "YEP !!!! more of my family - Karon (daughter) Alex (granddaughter approaching her teens) and Thomas (grandson aged 10) Oh and Val - Val is my Son-in-laws Mum from Australia who has been travelling around England and now Europe since May returning to OZ in August, a remarkable Lady and still wants to do as much travelling whilst she's still able - she's a "modern day OAP - GLOBE TROTTER" (I have a lot admiration for this lady who's 75!) almost a back packer!! her quote "your as old as you feel" anyway she's fit and able and spending a few days in Italy on the Ligurian coast - I believe from the 5 day weather forecast it's gunna be "HOT HOT HOT!!! " also coming from Australia Val is used to the hot weather...won't be a problem and gunna let her do her own thing - the thing is, we all need breaks when we can get them! you never know whats round the corner so take opportunities when available.
also let me tell you before I go - went to
Cookes Coach Builders to check the progress on Tony"s Motor Home and it's probably a week away to being finished - it's looking mighty fine
Cookes the coach builders have done a great job on the Bodywork and from what I hear Tony is well chuffed...
I'll be back on the 20th when I return from Italy - have a great week whilst i'm away...

I"VE HAD A GREAT DAY!!!!!
I've had a great day - it started off getting my Brows and Lashes tinted ready for my hols in Italy next week - Kerry Brennan from Alderley Beauty her website details : http://www.alderleybeauty.com/ Kerry has done a marvellous job her salon is close by, literally a 5 mins walk! I used to go to the Brow Bar in the Trafford Centre but it's such a schlep plus sometimes you do need to try alternatives anyway, I booked my appointment a week ago for today and today was lovely walking as the sun and at 8am it was beginning to get really warm.
Came home, had a coffee with Ed, then off I went into Stockport where I found a shop called Modiste http://www.modistedesigns.com/ the owner called Sue (lovely lovely lady and very accommodating) has made things for me in the past and I highly recommend her for bespoke clothing...
arrr bless, the little darlin' not only does she sell great clothes she also makes what ever you need for "day to day" wear or "special occasion clothes."
so on a trip to the Trafford Centre the other week I got a bargin' a piece of fabric roughly 80cm wide
x 150 cm in length well actually it was a scarf in a fine cotton Jersey really nice felt good as well, cost 20quid in the sale from Armani in the Trafford Centre next to John Lewis on the ground floor; the scarf was long enough to make into a sun/beach cover up dress but you could make anything you wanted really... or just keep it as a scarf! anyway, "WHAT A RESULT" Sue suggested making a straight forward dress, simple lines with pockets, something loose and casual so I'd be able to toddle around the beach lookin' goooood, so now gunna have to get myself a straw hat to complete the look Oh! and a big bag, Oh! and some sandals, blimey, before yu' know it, I will have spent a small fortune - love the dress though and the benefit NO ONE else will have one like it!
she's getting ready for her Winter Stock coming in very shortly - but what's left is lovely and you 'd "bag a bargin" plus the jewellery she sells is well worth buying too... get yourselves down before it's to late.....
i'm now gunna open a bottle of Vino Rosso (incidentally Leighroy - Author of the Hairy Plug Monster - link below ) bought Ed this wine for his birthday so lookin' forward to a couple of nice glasses of wine - grilled salmon, salad followed by fresh fruit then cheese and biscuits to finish off ... also eating under the Gazebo in the Garden!!!
very pleasant evening ahead...
have a great weekend, i may blog again tomorrow!!! you never know...

Masterbed Update 9th July
I'm so impressed with the Plumber Jason, what a guy - honest! straight to the point!
efficient, doesn't fanny about! most important "GETS ON WITH THE JOB!!!!!!" plus knows what he's doing - how lucky am I !!! what a 'FLIPPIN' FIND!' why can't all plumbers be like Jason?
below a couple a couple of pics of the project so far - you may think it's lookin' messy but I CAN see how it's gunna' look!
Well, the story so far, pipework, loo bracket support for the wall hung loo in place and pipework for the wall hung sink and shower tray - David <http://www.davidmarshfurniture.co.uk/> the main contractor can now build a stud frame wall to wall approx 150mm depth x 1200mm height to hide all the unsitely pipes and waste then this will be tiled and plus creates a shelf giving the clean lines and no fuss, on top of this shelf I will then use a wall to wall mirror roughly 900mm deep x 700 high and wiring for three wall lights already in place; Just to let you know - Jason is a contact from David who has worked on previous projects with him and was really impressed with his work...
Something that had slipped my mind "installing an extra fan" maybe off to B&Q gunna get a simple white one and this can be positioned over or near the shower head to the righthand corner on the ceiling - the ceiling will be painted white and the fan won't look as obvious the advantage with the ceiling application is the steam will make it's through the hidden flexy pipe through the loft then through the roof...
Yu' know what, I could rabbit on for hours, so on that note I'm off to do a bit more work - promoting our book 'The Hairy Plug Monster' click here for blog, purchase, news and update pages. <http://www.hairyplugmonster.com/> and enjoy....
Masterbed Pics.....
shower tray and pipes in place -
the controls to operate the over head and hand shower is at the right hand corner - i do like this idea and have used this application in the past!
frame for the wall hung loo
strong piece of hardwear needed
the thought of the loo falling off the wall
when in use would be disasterous
well have a great day and i'll blog again soon...
